This was taken in a slum area in Dehradun city of INDIA. This is a girl studying in one of the NGO run schools for the slum children. This picture was taken last Sunday night, while my husband, my daughter, and I were hiking in the area behind our house, known as The Toes. We live in Kayenta, Arizona, on the Navajo Reservation. The eyes are the gateway to the soul Now this is a dog that wants to be seen rather than heard
My son walking through the dandelions in our backyard in the springtime. The peaceful, tranquil and restful surroundings at the bottom of a valley in Penistone Nr Barnsley in South Yorkshire. It is hear at this location when I need to gather thoughts and relax in between studies when working on my degree. There is no other place like this on earth when you need to relax quickly. Taken while driving on the Trans-Canada highway in Saskatchewan during our road trip. Taken while driving on the Trans-Canada highway in Saskatchewan during our road trip.
This picture was taken in the north west of Scotland, it is of an amazing example of a sea arch. The picture was taken at low tide as i was stood below the high tide mark. In the foreground of the picture there is a large rock with sea weed growing on it. In the middle of the picture is the sea arch, with many layers of igneous rock A reprieve from the smoke! This photo was also taken at the same practice burn in Palisade, MN. My 10 yr old niece in a country field. Took this pic without her knowing but love the look of a unposed picture. This image is one of 22 images as part of a Picture A Day series project for my portfolio class this semester at Harrington College of Design in Chicago, IL. The photograh was taken in Fort Wayne Indiana at my former roommate's house.
Kashgar, China Fuji S3 Pro Nikon 16-85mm 1/90sec F/5.6 Shot in Downtown Jacksonville This is a photograph of one of the most popular places in Macau- Casino Lisboa. I have tried to capture the abstract element of the building. Shot in Macau. Taken March 2005 New Orleans, LA, USA
Taken right before her horse show in july at the hookstown fairgrounds in PA. It is a photo of a leaf with a blurred background. And it was shot right out of our condo in Chicago. Taken in May at a pond in the heart of the Big Thicket, at sunset! I like to call that picture Peaceful Nature. Kashgar, China. It struck me in this photo that the children show their faces, the young woman wears a headscarf and the older women don veils - figuratively pointing to a generational difference in the adoption of traditional dress.
