Cupid’s Arrow
By: Michelle Retief
Cupid hit me with his arrow,
It came as quickly as a tiny sparrow,
Shooting into me,
Oh so silently,
While I was talking to myself quietly,
You need a man in your life he said,
Some one who can straighten out your head,
Your perfect match,
Who can keep you sane,
But spice up your life,
So it’s not so plain,
He’ll make you laugh,
He’ll make you smile,
He’ll make you feel great,
In just a little while,
The first time you see him,
You’ll know that your love is true,
You can’t lie to him,
He’ll see right through you,
When you’re feeling down,
He’ll come around,
And he’ll hug and kiss you,
Without making a sound,
I never believed,
That what cupid said was true,
Until the day,
That I met you
Have a Wonderful Valentine’s Day!
