I hear the sound of distant drums
with a dull but rhythmical beat
I listen to the magical cords
then I start to pat my feet

You can't tell whether the sound
Is that of a ritual or celebration
The sound of distant drums
Leaves it to ones imagination

Sometimes the sound of the drums
Seem near then they seem far
But you can't help but be infatuated
With the sound no matter who you are

The sound of drums by a tribe
Or by members of a band
Make you pat your feet to the rhythm
And will make you clap your hands
