Dancing in the dark
To the rhythm of our hearts
To the passion of the wind
In the silence of the dimmed
World sleeping outside our door
Where clouds of forgiveness absorbs, our sins.
If we are to reach the sunrise
Let us inhale her beauty with our eyes.
For we cannot allow our hearts to carry sorrow
From fallen days we couldn’t swallow
Since I’d be a fool to pretend we adore
The right to know what’s held in the hand of the morrow.
For the moon I might see no more
And your touch I might feel no more
The roses I might smell no more
My feet these fields no more explore.
So why travel walking lamented?
The rain I love as well the sun
The moon, the stars, the clouds will hung and sung
With lighting, all colouring the sky
Like a portrait painted only for our eyes
By the hand of God: A masterpiece!
If it may, let our hearts be reached
Smell the rain before she dries
Maybe it’s your last chance
To kiss raindrops as you dance
To let your hair entertain the wind
To taste the sun before she’s dimmed
Before you move on to an even better place
With even more beauty for our eyes to chase
Where we’ll wonder why this world ever bothered a spin.
