Blow Wind Blow By Eileen Dugwell Kenya
Blow Wind Blow
There’s a wind that blows from the East & to the West It has NO care or limits and at speed it’s so at it’s best Great trees tumble yes and apples to the ground do fall The victims can be broad so short or thin & even tall
But this threat which shows no favours to all that’s in it’s way All that blocks it’s path it’ll buckle, break let fall & even sway It is only for a moment, it’s noise maybe present but for a day The path it travels, where it comes from is not easy now to say
There is however a wind that blows that never goes away It lights up those who feel its breeze and all that’s in its way A wind of love & passion for the weak yes needy poor Have you heard this wind of passion banging at your door?
Or are you the seeker of yourself all so selfish and icy cold? With all your power & money but for love you’re not so bold To stretch a hand to the poor yes and love to the lonely speak Or does your craving for yourself of coldness only reek?
Yes the wind that shakes the trees so majestic & so tall Is here for just a moment but let’s the strongest even fall From where it comes or goes is not what really matters Just to know it plays a part in the lofty trees it shatters
This wind of love yes passion for the needy and the poor It does not comes and go & it’s now knocking at your door Are you hard of hearing, your reaction so cold & even slow Or will your cry your passion to this wind of love now BOW
