norush_ec_tsitsi.jpg
The Eastern Cape is one of Africa's rare and unspoilt gems, offering great diversity.  Discover superb beaches on its wild coast, the vast Karoo landscape with unforgettable star-studded night skies, charming, historic towns, and a warm welcome.  Port Elizabeth, East London and Graham’s town are in the province, as well as Umtata in the Transkei.  Qunu in the Transkei is the birthplace of Nelson Mandela, who is affectionately known as Madiba.  The Eastern Cape, a land of undulating hills, expansive sandy beaches, majestic mountain ranges and emerald green forests, is the second-largest of the nine provinces in terms of surface area.

September 2008 Photography Competition Winners
Sunday, 09 November 2008
In June, 2008, I participated in a week-long medical clinic in Andahuaylas, Peru. This lady was a patient at the clinic. Flight of the Hopper was taken when I was out checking one of the fields on our 155 acre farm. This grasshopper decided to jump on the window of my truck and I couldn't resist moving the truck so that all I could see were clouds in the background. This photo was taken with a Kodak EasyShare camera. I took this photo with a canon power shot A95. We were given a water theme for our photography club and I took this photo while a hose was running into a dam. I loved the fact that I captured the fast motion of the water entering the dam as well as every bubble created as the force of the flowing water pierced the barrier. I love finding mundane happenings and capturing their true conspicuous nature. Location Makarska,Croatia Poor man selling fruit on a very hot day and chillin" in the lovely sea.
